Todd Erdley, CEO

Todd serves as our CEO. He led the original team of co-workers that founded Videon, and he has emphasized teamwork and community as essential parts of work at Videon ever since. Early on, Todd envisioned a place where employees would work with one another in a supportive environment, producing high-quality products and enjoying themselves at the same time. That vision has been realized in Videon.

Todd still focuses on his vision for Videon. He assesses the industry, the market and our team to initiate course corrections in our goals and the paths we will use to reach them. He also identifies and works to develop our leadership team, driving the company towards our vision. Overall, his leadership helps us recognize where we want to be and plan our route to get there.

For Todd, the path to Videon began with BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. He remains an enthusiastic member of the Penn State community, having served on various committees like the College of Engineering's Industrial Professional Advisory Committee (IPAC) and frequently offering lectures in engineering classes. He also supports the community through extensive involvement in the Centre Region Entrepreneur Network and other local business groups. Todd is most at home on a bike—he's a cycling enthusiast and spends hours each week pedaling around central Pennsylvania.


Paul Brown, President and CTO

As Videon's President and COO, Paul organizes our resources to meet corporate goals. He focuses on product development, combining Videon's software with hardware to create specific products. Paul identifies the objectives, methods, and resources to develop products that meet our goals.

Paul was one of the original founders of Videon itself and has been an integral part of the organization ever since. He coaches youth soccer and chairs the board of Discovery Space, an educational museum for local children.


Rob Bargo, COO

Rob works as Videon's Vice President of Operations and was one of the original founders of Videon. He oversees manufacturing, as well as our supply chain, quality and service departments. Overall, he makes sure that the designs we create for our customers can be manufactured and serviced reliably and with high quality results--while meeting the financial and timing constraints of different customers. His work on our AS9100 certification and the implementation of QRM manufacturing have made our Manufacturing Operations department truly world class.

Rob earned an AAS in Electronics Technology from Williamsport Area Community College and, since that point, has worked in a number of related positions in technology production. Outside of Videon, Rob spends his time as a youth sports coach, leading football, basketball and baseball teams. He also takes advantage of this region's excellent fly fishing.


Joan Potter, Director of Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources, Joan is responsible for cultivating Videon's unique corporate culture. Videon has successfully created a culture that keeps employees motivated, contributing and happy--and it falls to Joan to be the keeper of the culture.

Joan joined a start-up company in 1997 with Todd Erdley, a leader with a vision for an organization that would focus not only on growing a successful company but also on growing employees. The knowledge and experience gained from her involvement in three prior start-up companies helped establish Videon’s initial office framework, policies, and procedures. From recruiting and promoting the best-qualified candidates to creating a creative, productive and effective environment, her role has expanded along with the company's growth. An enthusiastic bicyclist, Joan particularly enjoys promoting Velo Videon, Videon’s biking wellness program, as a model to other businesses in the community. She volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Centre Region Bicycling Coalition.


Jim Hudak, Board of Directors Member, President of CIT Commercial Finance

Jim Hudak is President of CIT Commercial Finance. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate and leverage banking, specifically targeting middle market companies. He has served in a number of capacities on the credit, underwriting and origination sides, and his reas of expertise include:

  • Private equity and M&A trends
  • Capital markets
  • Trends and convergence in media, information services and technology, entertainment and gaming, sports and communications sectors

Mr. Hudak started his career at Philadelphia National Bank in the mid-1980s, completing a formal bank training program and specializing in commercial real estate. He soon had roles at both Merrill Lynch and Citibank, where he worked in the Leveraged Finance division, leading many middle market transactions. In 1991, he joined AT&T Capital in its Capital Markets Division and focused on large project financings and leverage leases. He soon joined with another partner and co-founded AT&T Capital's Telecom Group and eventually augmented it with media, entertainment and other technology sector capabilities. Over the years, Mr. Hudak successfully guided this group through several accretive acquisitions, including Nomura, Newcourt Capital, Tyco and CIT.

Since 2010, Mr. Hudak has run the Corporate Finance Group at CIT, which comprises leading industry verticals in Aerospace & Defense, Commercial & Industrial, Communications, Media & Entertainment, Energy and Healthcare. The Group is dedicated to servicing the specialized financing and advisory needs of small and middle market companies in the United States and Canada.

Mr. Hudak received a BA from Bucknell University and an MBA from Cornell University. He is a former officer in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.


John Vidmar, Board of Directors Member, (Retired) Director of Ben Franklin Transformation Business Services

Mr. Vidmar has been involved in start-ups and small companies for over 35 years. He has been founder, co-founder or partner in four business ventures and has served as a consultant for 70+ businesses. His experience in marketing and strategic issues has been focused on healthcare, financial and technology markets.

Prior to his retirement in April 2018, Mr. Vidmar worked with small businesses as the Founder and Director of the Transformation Business Services Network in 32 counties in Central Pennsylvania. Sponsored by the Ben Franklin Technology Partnership, the project provides services and education directly to qualified manufacturing and technology companies. He also served as a member of the funding group making decisions for technology investments. Additionally, Mr. Vidmar spearheaded the effort to launch the Pennsylvania Shale Gas Innovation and Commercialization Center which is now statewide and has over 1000 members in its database.

Mr. Vidmar received a BA in Advertising from The Pennsylvania State University.
